Also outfits for Puppies and Kittens unlocked! I mean ... otherwise, how would this work?
I like the robot pets in the Sims 4. I really do. But they're kinda samey. We need variety in our robot pets! Hence - the robot pets form the Sims Freeplay!
The meshes needed significant changes to work in the Sims 4. Basically all the proportions are different. And, even with all that done, the shoulders aren't in the right position to rotate correctly! You have to accept quite a few compromises and clipping issues with this.
The texture doesn't look that great in CAS, but it actually doesn't look bad in the game itself. Which is a first for textures! But, then, pets are smaller than regular Sims. Hell, puppies and kittens are positively TINY - the flaws in the texture just don't show up. Which is good.
All of these outfits come with two versions - one the regular with blue eyes and the other corrupted with yellow eyes, like my other Freeplay conversions.
I thought about making the colors glow. But they don't glow in Freeplay. And I guess I got sick of looking at it, to be completely honest.
These meshes were pretty difficult to get in the game. I think this is about the limit of how far you can push the whole Freeplay conversion thing. I wish the skeleton worked better, but those shoulders require pretty exact positioning. And it just isn't there with Freeplay's animals. I guess animals are a bit looser than humans in that regard (Freeplay just had bigger heads and hands with humans). Still, I like Freeplay's robot pets and I'm glad to have them in my game!
