Nameplates - display issue with npc hostile

some units don't get their plates displayed unless targeted (like in the mid phase of drokk in KV) - maybe it concerns units considered as 'pet'
I'm not even sure we're supposed to see nameplates for those kind of units. Does Carbine's default nameplates remain visible?
It's probabbly caused by "Show only important NPC" option. It looks like there are also some NPCs in RMT with invisible nameplates which should be visible. Maybe add else that if you are in instance every NPC is important?
Well, this case need solid repro to track it down (preferably not involving group/raid content for easier testing). By "some NPCs in RMT" do you mean friendly NPCs? Because looking at the code the "Show only important NPC" option filters only friendly NPCs but OP saying that Boss mob (hostile) doesn't get displayed. Maybe it has something to do with tNameplate.bGibbed and OnUnitGibbed event (what exactly triggers this event anyway?)
There are some friendly NPCs in RMT that you have to heal as part of the encounter (similar to Gloomclaw).
I might not have the 'show only important npc' unchecked at the time (sorry o:-) ) - however, when I use twinkieplates, I get nameplates for things (sometimes invisible units too though) that forgeui don't display.
Anyway don't bother too much, unchecking this option solved most issues (I haven't played kv in the meantime to check if i could see those moving bombs though but I guess it must solve that too), but I haven't checked gloomclaw either (only doing rmt atm :p)
Same issue with Asteroids on Navigation Core (Star Map).
Gonna try that option but some whitelist/exclusion list would be nice I guess.
I'm pretty sure the adds on the first boss in stormtalon have the same issue. The ones that you have to kill to remove his shield. Always have to target them to see their health. Can also reproduce it with them quite easily.
Go solo into a normal STL, clear till the first boss and test stuff on the adds.
