Describe the Bug

when the grindstone or crushing wheel is running both empty and items being processed cause fps to go from a solid fps to 2 fps.
normally with all the moving parts in my setup I get about 20fps when near my create setup without the crushing wheel or grindstone.
I even went as far as limiting the rpms to 8 as jei shows it needed to run and still get the same result.
I also assumed it was particles but turning off particles didnt help.

Reproduction Steps

1. setup a crushing wheel and run normally get 2fps
2. remove the shaft powering it and get solid 20
   3.add back and get 2fps
   ...

Expected Result

solid frame rate even if its a drop of 5 frames

getting the same problem, on fabric though

same problem here, did anyone figure out how to fix this yet?

I had the exact same symptoms as you did. However, I noticed that turning off all sound in Minecraft's sound settings my fps wouldn't drop even if i was close to the contraption with crushing wheel. And eveuntaully I figured out that when turning off "Directional Audio" in the sound settings, crushing wheel and etc would work just fine!

I just encountered this issue as well and can confirm its happening on 1.19.2 Fabric. I did some testing and found that the Ambient/Environment sound channel is where the crusher is outputting audio. I feel like it may be spamming audio events potentially.
