What is this modpack?
A stripped down incarnation of its Predecessor, Ultra Battlegrounds: Teetotal Carnage, this modpack is designed to simplify the setup and hosting of PVP matches, providing a number of items that quickly and effortlessly assign players to teams, change rules such as nametag visibility, or friendly fire, and even a couple that enable an alternate win condition in the form of a magical staff that when constructed, will smite your enemies.
Why So Vanilla?
This modpack is intended to provide two things:
1) A barebones streamlined PVP experience that can run on low end hardware.
2) A foundation for the host to customize their PVP experience with, with room for adding more mods, tweaking settings, adding scripts and editing configs, without too many surprises jumping out of the wood-work. Released under MIT liscence so that, in theory, publishing such a creation could be possible, if one so wished!
While the mod-count is a little high (around 90?), due to the inclusion of a large number of performance, and QOL mods, and the mods that I've used to make the world how it is, the experience is very baseline (Only a little modded, sometimes, as a treat!).
FEATURES:
A wide array of items for customizing and setting up a UHC style, or other style, PVP match. With a bit of imagination and social contract, the possibilities for you and your foes are wide open.
A spawn structure at the center of the world with an empty end portal inside. For when a shrinking worldborder cuts off the strongholds.
COFHworld, Worley's Caves and Hardcore Spelunking provide a world where branch mining is useless, and cave exploring is the fast-track to ores.
If the core concept of this pack sounds cool, but you actually want to play with some mods installed, consider the original, linked above, or, the long awaited sequel, Ultra Battlegrounds II: Industrial Clash, for a more high-tech progression-based take on PVP, but with all the convenience of its predecessors.
