Advancement not working.

Describe the Bug
I attempted to get the advancement for making a contraption that makes it's own tracks. But it did not work, see steps below.
Reproduction Steps
- Place cart mechanism thingy and place two dirt blocks on a pillar on top of it.
- Next to the top dirt block, place a deployer pointing down.
- Place a chest on top of the dirt block and put rails in it.
- glue the dirt, deployer, and chest together.
- Power the cart assembler with redstone and push a minecart through.
Expected Result
The advancement for self driving minecart should be given.

Still experiencing this in 0.5.1f. Someone on our server managed to get the advancement, but we can't replicate it, either with simple or complex machines. It might help for testing if someone could post a contraption shape that was known to grant the advancement.
